If you're into gaming (or even if you're not) you may have heard the term "artifacting". But what does it mean?!
Artifacting refers to visual distortion or glitches in gaming graphics when the frame is being rendered. It can come in the form of corrupted textures, geometry, visual anomalies, colours and so on. It is most often an issue related to your graphics processing unit (GPU) or graphics card.
If you are seeing any of these visual anomalies, check that your graphics card drivers are up to date. If your drivers are up to date, heat may be an issue. You can try cleaning your machine (or better yet, have it done professionally). If you have overclocked your graphics processing unit, this may be causing heat issues - consider dialing it back.
If none of these options are working, it may be time to replace your graphics card.
