Keyboard Shortcuts for Symbols

In the age of technology, smart phones and shortcuts, symbols and emojis are quickly taking the place of the written word. If you can't beat 'em, join 'em - right?

Did you know there is actually a Windows keyboard shortcut to emojis?

Pressing the Windows key + ; (that's the Windows key and the semi-colon at the same time) will bring up an emoji menu (pictured here). With the new Windows 10 1903 update, you will also see a section for non-emoji symbols like greater than, less than, the degrees symbol, math symbols etc.

This is a very nice step up from searching for the applicable Alt code to various symbols or searching through an app's ribbon insert panel.
