A fresh, new website that features all your newest products and services and engages your clients feels so good! But after a while, that content becomes old. So how do you avoid a stale website? The answer is a regular system of tests and checks.
Your site should be living and constantly evolving. Dedicate a couple of hours every two weeks to finding areas where your site could use improvement with three questions in mind:
How can I improve conversions?
How can I increase user time on each page?
How can I increase the number of pages each user visits per session?
One method, we have mentioned before is split (A/B testing), where you have two versions of a page and track the usership of each.
Of course, always be aware of how current the information is on each page. Other items to play with are:
button placement and colour
font type and colour
headers
navigation design
text quantity
There are also tools available for heat mapping and A/B testing that can help this process run much smoother.
Need a little help? We can do that!
