The holidays are a great time to boost your annual sales and end your year off with a bang! But to do that you'll need to attract customers to your online store and let them know you have some incredible offers for them. We've put together a few tips to holiday-ify your website for maximum success.
Update your online store and call-to-action - there are tons of holiday widgets available to make your online shop festive. Your call to action (ex. SHOP NOW!) should be bold, eye-catching and have a holiday theme. Be sure to promote the holiday sales and features available in your online shop.
Adjust your website design for the holidays - make festive changes to fonts, colours, images, banners and backgrounds. You can add music, or dynamic elements like falling snow or holiday mouse icons.
Run promotions - draw customers to your online store by running promotions like sales, referral bonuses and new product features.
Change your home page temporarily - create a temporary holiday landing page with a full holiday theme OR create a holiday pop-up. The point is to create a holiday feel, get people excited about your products gift potentials and get them in the holiday spirit!
Post holiday blogs - be sure to stuff your posts with holiday keywords (both short and long-tail) and discuss what products to buy and why. Blogs are our favourite way to keep your website current, so be sure to do this at a minimum.
