You want to search your computer for a file, but you get a whole list of web results first. Annoying, right? If web results aren't what you're looking for, the good news is, there is a way to disable these results from appearing. BUT it's not as simple as changing a setting, you'll have to make changes to your registry. Here are the steps you need to take:
Click the Start button and type gpedit.msc, then select "Group Policy Editor" from the list of search results.
On the left side of your screen, go to "Computer Configuration"
Select "Administrative Templates"
Select "Windows Components"
Click on "Search"
Double-click "Do not allow web search" and toggle the button to "Enabled"
Click "OK"
Restart your PC
