It's almost time for another Windows update! But fear not - it is not a major overhaul like most of its bi-annual predecessors. The 1909 or 19H2 update was announced as "less disruptive" and will not require a lengthy restart and install. You can expect the following changes to appear sometime in late September or October:
1. Event creation in the taskbar system tray's calendar without having to open the calendar app; instead you can just click on the date you wish to add an event into and enter the relevant information
2. Better customization of your notification centre including appearance, sounds and whether or not you get them at all
3. Use of third-party voice-control apps on your lock screen
4. Improved battery life.
This small update may be a welcome change to many who were affected by previous large updates this past year - revel in it while you can. A large update is expected in the first half of 2020 with some very "eye-catching" features.
